The uniform itself
The male cap is that as worn by Royal Naval officers whereas Tricorns are worn only by female leaders. Both male and female members also have the option of wearing navy blue Berets. All the above headwear must bear the Scout Association cap badge.

The shirt is a blue cotton/ polyester garment with a single breast pocket on the left. A RN style roundneck jersey may also be worn over the top and the Wheaton Aston Sea Scout leaders accompany this with a set of custom made epaulettes.

This is accompanied by the wearing of black or navy blue trousers for male members and either black or navy blue trousers or long skirts for female members. Ideally these should be secured using the official Scout Association belt and belt buckle. The uniform shown above also includes a Bo'suns Call and lanyard but such additions are not compulsory.
